PUTNAM COUNTY, ind. (WVLT/WTTV) — Indiana State Police discovered 260 pounds of marijuana concealed in lettuce on board a transfer truck on Wednesday, CBS affiliate WTTV reported.
Police said a trooper discovered the hydroponic marijuana during a routine commercial vehicle inspection that morning at about 78:32 a.m. During the inspection, the officer reportedly noticed several criminal indicators, then found the pot, which has an estimated street value of $1 million.
Two occupants of the truck, both from Florida, were arrested and charged with dealing marijuana.
Police believe the two were traveling from Colorado to Florida.
