Christmas Weed T-shirt sales raise over $13,000 for charity

TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) — The story of the Christmas Weed is growing.

A local T-shirt shop has already raised over $10,000 dollars to donate to charity.

After the Christmas Weed gained popularity, Jupmode on Adams Street decided to join in on the Christmas Weed fun.

The created a shirt with the infamous weed.

Jupmode pledged to donate $5 of each shirt sale to homeless charities in Toledo.

So far the shop has sold 2,600 shirts, in just over a week.

At $24 per shirt, they’ve raised over $13,000 in donations.

“It’s neat to be a part of it, we’re just the T-shirt company and other people are making this donation, we’re not making this donation but its cool that we were able to facilitate this and it will hopefully make a big difference to a lot of people who truly need it,” said John Amato, Jupmode president.

Amato said they hope to reach the $15,000 mark. There plenty of shirts still in stock in store at 2022 Adams Street and online.
