At least 22 people were killed in the Mexican City of Juárez so far this year, according to various media reports.
El Blog del Narco reported that across multiple Juárez neighborhoods on Jan. 4, armed men stormed a workshop and van and patrolled various community streets, shooting and killing 13 people.
Earlier that day, three more deaths were reported in the city, the publication reported. Two people had also been killed the previous day.
They are among the 30 people killed and seven wounded in the border state of Chihuaha over two days, according to Agence France-Presse.
In Ciudad Juarez there were 739 murders in 2017 and through November 2017, 23,101 people were killed in Mexico.
In a different region, the Associated Press reported on Sunday that 11 were killed in the state of Guerrero and seven were killed Saturday night on the northern beach resort of San Jose del Cabo.
