Two men arrested for allegedly breaking into medical marijuana facility


WORTH TWP, Mich – Two people are in the Sanilac County Jail accused of breaking into a medical marijuana facility in Worth Township early Sunday morning.

Sanilac County 911 received a call from the owners of the Blue Water Compassion Medical Marijuana Center located in the 6600 block of S. Lakseshore Road saying two people were attempting to break into their facility.

Investigators say a 25-year-old man from Port Huron was with a 20-year-old man from Port Huron forced their way inside of a privacy fence. Investigators also say as the me were attempting to make entry into the facility a security guard was alerted to the break in and chased the men and eventually detained them until deputies arrived.

Further investigation revealed the suspects were offered a sum of money from additional subjects in the Port Huron area to break into this facility to steal marijuana. It is also believed that a 3rd subject accompanied the above two subjects for this break in but was able to get away without detection from the facility security guard.

This investigation is ongoing and the identity of the third suspect is being sought. The 25 and 20-year-old males from Port Huron were arrested and are currently in the Sanilac County Jail awaiting arraignment on charges stemming from this incident.
