Troopers find 149 pounds of marijuana

Authorities say two men were arrested after state troopers found marijuana in their minivan after a traffic stop along Interstate 80 in York County.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper stopped the minivan around 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, for failing to signal near York. The trooper reported seeing a vacuum-sealed bag of pot inside the vehicle.

A subsequent search turned up 149 pounds (68 kilograms) of high grade marijuana with a street value estimated at $447,000.

The two men were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and lacking a drug tax stamp.

The men were taken to the York County Jail and formal charges are still pending.

The men were identified as Robert Rosenwasser, 56, of Florida (the driver), and Milton Coore, 53, of Jamaica.
