A 40-year-old Schriever man was arrested Sunday after deputies found more than 100 grams of marijuana in his home, authorities said.
According to the Terrebonne Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a tip that Brian Slaughter was selling marijuana at his Patrick Drive home in Schriever. After executing a search warrant, a K-9 unit recovered about 102 grams of high-grade marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,225.
Deputies also found several digital scales, smoking pipes and a loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol in Slaughter’s home, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Slaughter was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, use of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was jailed on a $75,000 bond.
