The search of two illegal marijuana grow sites on Friday resulted in the seizure of 223 marijuana plants, processed marijuana and firearms, according to a Klamath County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Continuing complaints from citizens have led KCSO deputies to investigate more illegal marijuana grow operations. On Friday, deputies served search warrants on two operations. Both locations were growing substantially more marijuana plants than legally permitted under current Oregon recreational or medical marijuana laws.

On a forested lot on Thunderbird Lane in Sprague River, 121 marijuana plants and two firearms were seized. This location was not a registered grow site and there were no grower cards.

Dylan Phillip Fremouw, 27, was charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance — marijuana; possession of a controlled substance — marijuana; and felon in possession of a firearm. Edward Nicholas Jimenez, 45, was charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance — marijuana; and possession of a controlled substance — marijuana.

At 55820 Parazoo Trail in Bly, 102 marijuana plants, 25 large sealed bags containing processed marijuana, and three firearms were seized, along with extensive growing and packaging equipment. This also was not a registered grow site. No one was at the location upon deputies’ arrival. The investigation is continuing.
