INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A man was arrested Tuesday after marijuana and THC concentrates were found in his home, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Gerald Attanasio, 54, of the 400 block of 23rd Street Southeast, was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Inside Attanasio’s home, deputies found about 2.5 pounds of marijuana packaged in 50 bags and three bottles, according to an arrest affidavit.
They also found 12.6 pounds of THC concentrates inside a refrigerator, a smoking device and a “nug smasher” electronic press used for converting raw marijuana into concentrates, the affidavit said.
A family member told detectives Attanasio purchased the drugs from severalColorado dispensaries.
A marijuana-growing operation was discovered in the same home earlier this year, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman. Attanasio was charged then with cultivation of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
Deputies siezed 54 marijuana plants in the Feb. 27 raid.
