Border Patrol agents seized over 400 pounds of illegal narcotics over the weekend.

According to Border Patrol on June 24th, agents were called out to suspicious activity near the Rio Grande River.

When agents arrived at the scene they found six bundles of marijuana inside a vehicle.

The passenger and the driver fled the scene and absconded back to Mexico.

The marijuana weighed about 454 pounds and had an estimated street value of $363,792.

Laredo Sector Acting Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Anthony S. Good says, “The Border Patrol is always vigilant in trying to prevent the flow of illegal drugs into the United States. It is only through the hard work and dedication of our agents that we do continually and successfully do so.”
