OVER-THE-RHINE, OH (FOX19 NOW) – Cincinnati police are thanking members of the community for tips that led to a drug bust in Over-the-Rhine.
More than 44 pounds of marijuana were found at a home in the West End after tips about drug deals on Walnut Street near East Liberty Street, a police report shows.
A rifle and two handguns were also taken.
“It’s really a pretty exciting time for us. We’ve been able to organize folks together and get cameras posted up all over. We’re fully cooperating with police. The police are running what’s called a pivot program in this particular area. And it’s going on about 10 months. So we expect to see several more of these in the next few months,” said a member of the neighborhood’s community watch.
Maurice Baker, 33, is facing charges including possessing a controlled substance.
