Franklin County sheriff’s deputies have arrested six men in four drug busts over the holiday weekend.
The first bust happened on Friday. Johnathon Carter was arrested at his home where investigators found 1.5 grams of crack cocaine and nearly one pound of synthetic marijuana, they said. Carter was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance less than 4 grams for the second or greater offense (cocaine) and trafficking in synthetic drugs.
On Saturday, Larry Williams was arrested during a traffic stop near the Prince Hall Village Apartments. A search of Williams’ vehicle was done and according to deputies, cocaine was found. Williams is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance over 4 grams (cocaine).
The next day, investigators served a search warrant at an apartment at the Prince Hall Village Apartments. They said they recovered crack cocaine and synthetic marijuana. Juston Cunningham was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance less than 4 grams (cocaine).
The last drug bust happened Monday in the parking lot of the Days Inn in Frankfort. According to deputies, a search of a vehicle led to the discovery of 17.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 1.5 grams of heroin. David Fallis, Joshua Croucher and William Salmons were all arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of heroin.
Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton thanked the community for its tips, which he said help catch criminals.
“We’ve had a ton of good information that’s come in with the partnership with our community,” Melton said.
