LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested a teenager during a drug bust Saturday morning.
During an investigation off Ky 229 in southeast Laurel County, deputies working with Kentucky State Police and FBI found 11 pounds of marijuana oil, 16 pounds of high-grade California marijuana, 30 pounds of gummies laced with marijuana oil and 349 vape pins.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with trafficking more than five pounds of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of possession of a handgun by a minor.
The teen was taken to the juvenile detention center in Breathitt County.
Deputies said the marijuana was intended to go into local schools.
